CAST BIOS

Greta Boeringer (Prospera/Gonzalo) Frederick Shakespeare Festival Improvised Romeo and Juliet 2024, Romeo and Juliet 2021, Endangered Species Theater Project Indecent 2024, Chesapeake Shakespeare Company, 7 productions, Baltimore Shakespeare Factory 4 productions, Midsummer Night’s Dream at Howard Community College 2024.  MFA 2019 and 3 productions at George Washington University’s Academy for Classical Acting, now the Shakespeare Theater Company Academy. 

RICHARD COSTES (he/him; Director) is an actor, director, and accessibility consultant based out of Chicago who is happy to be here in Frederick!  Richard’s last directing credit was a production of Richard III in Chicago.  He has also directed productions of Twelfth Night, As You Like It, King Stag, and Kimberly Akimbo, and more, both in Chicago and in Ohio.  Richard is also an actor and has performed throughout the country, including productions of A Midsummer Night's Dream (Chicago Shakespeare Theatre), In the Blood (Red Tape Theatre), Mosquitoes (Steep Theatre Company), Opportunities of Extinction (Broken Nose Theatre), Our Town (Redtwist Theatre), and many others. A graduate of Kent State University, Richard serves on the 3Arts Artist Council and is a member of Disability Lead

Meghan Fickett (u/s: Stephano/Alonso & Trinculo/Sebastian) is thrilled to be back for her second show with ESP, and wants to thank the entire cast and crew for being so amazing! Previous credits include ESP (Diana of Dobson's), Maryland Shakespeare Players (Hamlet, Midsummer Night's Dream, Troilus and Cressida, Macbeth, Twelfth Night, Henry V, As You Like It) and State College Community Theatre (9 to 5, Molly Howard is No More). All my love to Mom, Dad, and Jimmy. Enjoy the show!

Meghan Fickett (Kitty Brant, singer) After living in Frederick for three years and itching to return to theatre, Meghan is delighted to make her debut with ESP! She wants to thank the entire cast and crew for their warm welcome and for making this a truly memorable experience. She gives all her thanks to her parents and to Jimmy for their unending support and love. Enjoy the show!

Emma Hooks (Sebastian/Trinculo/Ceres) is delighted to make her Frederick Shakespeare Festival debut in The Tempest! Past credits include: Richard III, Eastward, Ho! and Julius Caesar (Maryland Renaissance Festival), Mary-Kate Olsen is in Love and Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley (Strand Theater Company), The Importance of Being Earnest (Shakesqueer Theatre Company), The Power of Light (Endangered Species Theatre Project). She holds a B.A. in Theatre Performance from American University, and has trained with the British American Drama Academy in London. www.emmahooks.weebly.com

Christine Mosere (Director) began her directing career in NYC – working at LaMaMa, BAM!, and Playwrights Horizons. She was a founding member of the Lucille Lortel award-winning “Peccadillo Theatre.” After time in Seattle (where she directed for the Richard Hugo House and ACT Theatre’s Buster’s Cafe) she moved to Frederick, MD and fell in love with this city. She Founded Endangered Species theatre Project and the Frederick Shakespeare Festival with Aaron Angello.
Christine is a big fan of ensemble theatre and she is incredibly proud of bringing Paula Vogel’s Indecent to Frederick and New Spire Arts last fall/winter.  Most recently Christine co-Directed a community production of Calling Dr. Freud with Matt Bannister (a true dream of a directing partner!). Christine hopes to host a directing class in the summer to bring what she has learned to new artists.

Emma Justine (Miranda/Ariel) is thrilled to be making her debut with Endangered Species Theatre Project in The Tempest! Her recent work includes “Alyson” in The Confession: The Musical (Blue Gate Musicals), “Lex” in the feature The Haunted Forest (Sane Lake Pictures), and a Scare Actor for Hersheypark DarkNights (RWS Entertainment Group). Emma would like to thank the cast and crew for all their wonderful work, as well as her family and friends for their continuous support. Enjoy the show!

Marnie Kanarek (She/Her; Caliban/Antonia) is thrilled to be a part of ESP’s The Tempest! She was last seen in Urinetown at OVT (Little Sally). You may have seen her in on the SSS in Silent Sky (Henrietta Leavitt), and Closer (Anna),as well as numerous other community and regional theatres, such as Adventure Theatre, Montgomery Playhouse, RLT, TAP, BSF, and Quotidian Theatre, to name a few. A classically trained singer hailing from New Jersey, Marnie has performed extensively in plays and musical theatre throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. Thanks to her family for all their love and support!

Erin Klarner (u/s: Prospera/Gonzalo & Caliban/Antonia) is a Baltimore-based theatre artist who moonlights as a historian. She has enjoyed watching old friends and new bring this show together! She can be found on and behind stages across the MD/NoVA area. Favorite past Shakespeare roles include Orlando, Puck, Lysander, and Warwick. Enjoy the show, and support local theatre!

Alex-Marie Meyerriecks (Stage Manager) is thrilled to join ESP for their production of The Tempest. Past stage management credits include Exit, Pursued by a Bear, Topdog/Underdog, The Clean House (WVU Theater and Dance), The Bennett House, Real Girls Can’t Win!, and She Kills Monsters (WVU LAB Theater).

Irene Silbert (Music & Sound) is an Emmy Award winning DGA (Directors Guild of America) director, Equity performer, Music Director and Television Lighting Designer (first female lighting director at ABC-TV Hollywood).  

Her extensive stage experience includes directing and music directing classic plays such as Feydeau’s A Flea in Her Ear; Dracula; Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, As You Like It, Richard III, Twelfth Night, Julius Caesar, King Lear, Macbeth, Timon Of Athens, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Tempest, Taming of the Shrew, The Merry Wives of Windsor, Winter’s Tale, Pericles, Cymbeline. She was the official folksinger for Amtrak’s Coast Starlight for five years.  

She has directed numerous documentaries, winning an Emmy in 1993 for Pioneer Women.  She has designed lights for shows such as General Hospital, AM Los Angeles with Regis Philbin, Elvira and numerous commercial and cable productions. 

Irene has taught and directed acting and music to young people at public and private schools, theatres and museums. She earned an MA in Theatre from California State University, Northridge and a BA in Anthropology with a minor in Renaissance Music from the University of California, Berkeley. 

Currently, Ms. Silbert is the Conductor/Director for the Madrigal group The Merry Minstrels, performing at the Will Geer Theatricum Botanicum;; plays violin and sings for the Ragtime Group Sedalia; and is co-director of the Simi Arts Conservatory (working with youth 5 – 18 in theatre, dance, voice and acting); Irene has two lovely children, Evan and Amy, (and four grandchildren) who share her love of the arts.

Kayla Swain (Ferdinand/Francisca) is a 2024 graduate of Hood College, looking to pursue a professional career in the performing arts. This is her 9th production with ESP Theatre. Most recently, she played Miss Jay in the company’s production of Diana of Dobson’s and had the honor of stage managing their production of Paula Vogel’s Indecent. Last summer, you may have seen her as Hermia in ESP’s rendition of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. She hopes you enjoy the show. 

Miranda Trautman (she/her; u/s: Miranda/Ariel & Ferdinand/Franciscais a student at Columbia College Chicago, majoring in Acting with a minor in Stage Combat. Some of her favorite roles include Sandra in All Shook Up (OVT), Laura in Significant Other, a Cedric in Puffs, Renfield in Dracula FRF (FCC) and Heather C in Heathers (ACT). She also has experience with directing, intimacy coordination, and fight choreography in which she is certified with the SAFD.
