Endangered Species theatre Project regularly holds auditions for its mainstage productions. We welcome performers of all backgrounds, ages and experience levels who are interested in thoughtful, engaging theatre. AEA contracts are available for every show through the Members’ Project Code.
CASTING CALL: DRACULA
Endangered Species theatre Project is seeking actors for a production of Dracula.
LOOKING FOR DIVERSE CASTING; BIPOC AND LGBTQIA+ STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO AUDITION.
DIALECT WORK IS REQUIRED. THERE WILL BE A DIALECT COACH.
THERE WILL BE SOME INTENSE INTIMACY, BUT NUDITY IS NOT NECESSARY. THERE WILL BE AN INTIMACY COORDINATOR.
If interested, please submit your headshot and résumé to casting@esptheatre.org with the subject line ‘Dracula’ and your name by November 1, 2026. Once we receive your headshot and resume, we will send you copies of the audition sides.
AUDITIONS will be held in-person in downtown Frederick, Maryland (exact location TBD), on Sunday November 8th from 10am–4pm and Tuesday November 10th from 6:30–10pm.
CALLBACKS will be held the following weekend on Saturday November 14th and Sunday November 15th from 2–6pm at the same location as auditions.
Rehearsals begin with a first reading on Sunday March 14, 2027—then full rehearsals start Monday March 15, 2027 in Frederick, Maryland. Rehearsals will be Saturday or Sunday afternoons, and evenings on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

This is a paid ($300 stipend) position.
