CAST & CREW BIOS
Jess Edwards
a performer and teaching artist in the tri-state who has been involved in theatre most of her life! Jess has delved into everything, from Shakespearean tragedy to British farce and improv. A few memorable past credits include: Sylvia (Sylvia), Dracula (Mina Harker), Pirates of Penzance (Major General), Addams Family (Morticia), Xanadu (Melpomene), Sister Act (Mary Patrick), The Play That Goes Wrong (Annie), Steve Martin's Meteor Shower (Corky), Christmas Carol (Ensemble/Mrs. Dilber), Little Women the Musical (Aunt March), Romeo and Juliet (Nurse), and Macbeth (Witch 2). Jess would like to thank ESP for being so welcoming, and her ever-supportive husband and family for allowing her to pursue her passion for the stage.
Jackson Walker Peters-Mosere
last seen in ESPtheatre’s production of Macbeth, as one of the weird sisters. They would like to leave space for the tea cups they lost during rehearsal. They are very excited to be a part of this production of The Importance of Being Earnest, as Algenon. They would like to mention that the lost tea cups were not entirely on them as at least two others may have broken a tea cup each. You can find more of their work if you look for it. Again to reiterate that only one of the many tea cups lost through this production is actually due to them, and that, to be fair to them, it was for a really funny gag.
Daniel Summerstay
acted in his first FSF show in 2018, and, as soon as he put on a mop head and a dress in A Midsummer Night’s Dream and convinced the Frederick Shakespeare Festival that was comedy, they have not let him leave since. You may’ve seen him as Silvius in As You Like It in 2025 or as Sir Andrew Aguecheek in Twelfth Night in 2023. When he’s not dancing like a monkey onstage, Christine and Deanna keep him in the costume closet. If you’re reading this, please send food and water; all Daniel’s had is the vodka spray and Lysol they use on the costumes.
Christine Mosere
began her career in NYC as both an actor and director with LaMaMa and Playwrights Horizon (where she was mentored by Barbara Montgomery and Arthur French.) She supporter her theatre career by acting in over 35 commercials. She performed at BAM!, Center Stage NY, and Westside Rep. She was a founding member of the Lucille Lortel award-winning “Peccadillo Theatre Company.” Her direction of “Expressing Willie” received an NYC OOBR award. After time in Seattle (where she worked with Book-It Repertory Theatre and ACT Theatre), she moved to Frederick, MD and fell in love with this city. She founded Endangered Species theatre Project and the Frederick Shakespeare Festival with Aaron Angello in 2019. Her production of Romeo & Juliet received a DC Metro Best Performance Award.
She wants to thank Matthew Bowerman and Julie Herber for their advice and support, and her partner in directing, Kayla Swain -- who is a dream to work with.
Elena Echeandia
graduated from Frostburg State University in May 2025 with a degree in theatre. This will be her first fully staged acting performance since graduating. Enjoy the show!
Kayla Swain
is a 2024 graduate of Hood College, looking to pursue a professional career in the performing arts. She has been working with the Endangered Species theatre Project since 2021 in a variety of roles. Most recently, she stage managed the company’s production of 4am Friends and played Ross in their production of the Scottish play. She is very excited to be working with the company again and to be making her directorial debut with them. She would like to thank you for your support and hopes you enjoy the show.
Emma Justine
is thrilled to be joining the cast and crew in her second production with Endangered Species theatre Project, having previously performed as Miranda/Ariel in The Tempest. In 2023, she earned a B.F.A. in acting from Towson University, and has continued performing primarily in theatrical productions. Her credits include Henrietta Leavitt in Silent Sky, Alyson in The Confession: The Musical, Scare Actor with Hersheypark Dark Nights, and a touring cast member with Plymouth State University's T.I.G.E.R. Theatre Group. Emma would like to thank her family and friends for their continuous love and support. Enjoy the show!
Eric Jones
(they/them) is a Senior who has performed in school plays since second grade and in community theater since fifth grade. Originally, Kendall's obsession for The Wizard of Oz movie at age three, started their passion for acting and singing, especially for Broadway Musicals. They plan to study acting and Psychology in college. Kendall would like to thank all those involved in supporting their endeavors through the years, but especially their mom, the Maryland Ensemble Theatre, and The Endangered Species Theatre Project friends and crew.
Elizabeth McKinney (Stage Manager)
is a Theatre Production: Design and Management student at Point Park University in Pittsburgh, PA. She has focused in technical direction as well as scenic carpentry/welding. However, she has also extended into the world of stage management. You may have seen her as the stage manager for the teen production of Much Ado About Nothing last summer. In the past year, she has done scenic carpentry for her University's past theatrical season which included shows such as Urinetown and Little shop of horrors. She would like to thank Christine Mosere and Kayla Swain for giving her the wonderful opportunity to stage manage once again for The Endangered Species Theatre Project!
Rebecca Summerstay (Costume Designer)
is a Theatrical Design student at Brigham Young University, in Provo, UT. She has chiefly studied lighting design but has recently expanded into the world of costumes. You may have seen her co-costume design for The Tempest last summer with The Endangered Species Project and probably haven’t seen her costume design for the student production of Come From Away performed at her university. Rebecca is very grateful for the supportive community she has found here, both personally and professionally. She’d like to thank Christine Mosere, Deanna Kinzie, and Kayla Swain for all their support and care. Rebecca is also especially delighted to be working alongside her husband, who plays Jack Worthing. She hopes you get swept away by the hilarity of the characters and that you enjoy the show along with them!
Sam White (Set Design, Sound Technician)
is a theater artist based in western Maryland. They’ve been pursuing stage management and theatrical design in the area for over a decade, but have found a home with the Maryland Ensemble Theatre and are proud to be a company member and ensemble secretary as well as Marketing Director for Ardeo Theatre Company.
