Quillan Chubin (Lady Capulet, Friar John): Q is psyched to be part of Romeo & Juliet! He especially enjoys the stage combat! Q is in 7th grade at CCM.

Q isn't a stranger to the stage. Some of his previous roles include: Squirt in Finding Nemo with the MET, Boy Hedgehog/Ensemble in The Wind in the Willows & Ensemble in James and the Giant Peach. He has also been taking Ensemble School classes with the MET this past year & enjoys Performance Ensemble/Chorus at his school, which he has been a part of since 3rd grade. Enjoy the Show!!

Matthew Crawford is a local DMV actor, teaching artist, and fight choreographer. He has been a member of the Maryland Renaissance Festival acting company since 2018. Other regional Shakespeare performance credits include Macbeth (x2), Hamlet (x2), Romeo & Juliet, The Merry Wives of Windsor, Henry V, and traveling three-actor versions of both A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Macbeth; not to mention numerous Shakespeare contemporaries, modern plays, and musicals (including children’s theatre). He continues his own education as a SAFD certified Advanced Actor Combatant via numerous stage combat classes and workshops. He is the Theatre Adjunct for PGCPS' VPA program, a standardized patient, and has worked as a teaching artist with Signature Theatre, Imagination stage, Shakespeare Theatre Company, Baltimore Shakespeare Factory, and Compass Rose Theater.

Kate Culpon (Juliet) is thrilled/honoured to be joining ESPtheatre! Kate is an aspiring singer/actress. She sings at Warehouse Cinemas and Music & Arts for open mics. Kate has been in many productions such as: Mean Girls with 24/7 Dance Studio, James and The Giant Peach with the MET, and The Best Christmas Pagent with the Other Voices Theater. Some hobbies she loves are walking, biking, video games, and baking. Kate would LOVE to thank Emily Karol, Matt Crawford, and Daniel Summerstay for giving everyone in this production such good guidance and making this show happen!

Andy Durant is thrilled to return to ESPTheatre and to play Sir Andrew in this production of Twelfth Night. He has a love for 90s comedies and the punk band The Linda Lindas. He has played Friar Lawrence in Romeo and Juliet at Frederick Sky Stage, and has been in the ensemble of multiple musicals such as Wicked and Matilda. He plays electric guitar and loves to play Dungeons and Dragons. He would like to thank his family for their support, his fellow cast members for making this a such a special experience, and his directors for their dedication and compassion. Enjoy the show!

Max (playing Benvolio) is nervous but excited to be in the Riotous Youth production of Romeo and Juliet. He has been in a few other plays, including The Little Engine that Could: The Musical in first grade at the Banner School, and an improv play he put on with his friends. Max enjoys fencing, rock climbing, computer programming, playing Minecraft, Lego building, carpentry, blacksmithing, 3D modeling, Dungeons & Dragons, Magic: the Gathering, playing the piano, and LARP. He is locked in a lifelong competition with his best friend Sylvan over who can be the geekiest. He would like to thank his mom for always forcing him to practice lines.

Miles Flessner (Paris) is excited to be joining Riotous Youth. Miles is homeschooled. This is Miles's first real acting experience, except for one very short improv D&D skit in front of about 30 people. In his free time, Miles digs holes and builds wooden weapons. Miles wants to thank his dog, Tex, for being so cuddly.

Emily Karol is an actor, director, and teaching artist in the DC/Baltimore metro area. She has been a teaching artist with Chesapeake Shakespeare Company since 2015. She has performed with CSC in A Christmas Carol, Romeo & Juliet (student matinee) and Love's Labour's Lost. Emily works for AACPS as an acting teacher with the magnet program of Apex Arts. She is also an acting company member and Shakespeare Text Coach for the Maryland Renaissance Festival. Emily recently won Best Stage Actor in The Baltimore Sun’s “Best of 2023” competition for her performance as the titular character in Shakespeare’s Richard III at the Maryland Renaissance Festival and The Strand Theatre in Baltimore.

Evan (Tybalt) is proud to be joining the cast. He was a last minute substitution. His favorite credits are Shrek (Pinocchio) at Free Range Kids, Beauty and the Beast (Lefou) and Sound of Music (Max) at SoHo Performing Arts. Evan can usually be found at his computer, working on editing videos and gaming. Special thanks to the cast for accepting him as a last minute addition.

Jacoby (Lord Capulet/Sampson) is thrilled to be joining Riotous Youth’s 2026 production of Romeo & Juliet. He began performing in 2022 when he played Chad in Descendants, Jr. at Free Range Kids. Some of his favorite credits include Newsies, Jr. (Race) at Free Range Kids, The Sound of Music (Captain von Trapp) and Mary Poppins, Jr. (Mr. Banks) at SoHo Performing Arts. When not on stage, he can be found spending time with his dog Barkley and watching Shark Tank. Special thanks to his twin brother Evan for stepping in to join the cast when we needed him.

Daniel Summerstay acted in his first FSF show in 2018, and, as soon as he put on a mop head and a dress in A Midsummer Night’s Dream and convinced the Frederick Shakespeare Festival that was comedy, they have not let him leave since. You may’ve seen him as Silvius in As You Like It in 2025 or as Sir Andrew Aguecheek in Twelfth Night in 2023. When he’s not dancing like a monkey onstage, Christine and Deanna keep him in the costume closet. If you’re reading this, please send food and water; all Daniel’s had is the vodka spray and Lysol they use on the costumes.

Remi W. (Prince, Peter) is grateful to be joining the Riotous Youth of Maryland. She has been perfecting the "worm" dance move for two years and is nearly ready for her world debut.

Remi began acting at age seven in Blue Heron Elementary School’s production of Alice in Wonderland. Her favorite credits include:

When she isn't on stage, Remi enjoys running and playing with her two cats and her dog. She is also the creator of Remi News, where she writes, produces, and stars alongside her co-anchor brother. Remi gives immense thanks to her parents for helping her find her way onto the stage.

Izzy Wood is thrilled to perform as the Nurse in the cast of Romeo & Juliet. She has trained and performed with Maryland Ensemble Theatre (MET) for the past seven years through both the Youth Ensemble School and mainstage productions. Her recent MET credits include Morris Micklewhite and the Tangerine Dress (Eli), A Christmas Carol (Ella Rose/Belinda Cratchit), James and the Giant Peach (Grasshopper) and Into the Woods (Witch). She also appeared as Bird Girl in Seussical at Middletown High School. In addition to theatre, she takes singing lessons and has performed in five vocal recitals. Off stage, Izzy is an avid soccer player and downhill skier. She would like to thank the directing team for their guidance and support throughout this production.
